A clicking in my throat when swallowing.

Hello,

For the last year or so I've noticed that I get a clicking in my throat. It comes and goes for periods of days at a time and can be gone for months then randomly come back. It rarely ever happens when I am not physically drinking or eating something - mostly drinking, and mostly when I feel dehydrated, and the more I think makes it go away?

However, I have heard that it can be a symptom of GERD, and I have been having a lot of heartburn and indigestion lately.

I also have an underactive thyroid and my medication has been haywire, so I wonder if this is the problem.

Is this dangerous?

Any advice would be helpful.

The clicking seems to not want to go away this time despite it having been a few days. Drinking a lot is no longer helping. It's very off-and-on.

Help please?
