Ear barotrauma

Hello, my ear has been hurting for a month now after negative pressure was applied to my ear canal. Is sudden negative pressure worse for the ear drum than increased pressure like a blow to the ear? My ear drum got sucked out suddenly and I wonder if it got dislocated or something it has been hurting for a long time and getting better so very slowly. Thank you.
