Preauricular sinus (ear pit) swelling?

Can an infected preauricular sinus cause fever and swelling of the face along with the face having redness? thank you

Oh, okay.  But she has a fever now or was that what sent yo to the doctor?

It was the fever and swelling of the ear and face,I took her to the E.R. and. I had a follow up with an ENT who said that it still look a little infected and prescribed more antibiotics.

Oh ya, absolutely.  Have you been to the doctors? Whomever has this needs antibiotics.  I'm sure they are not comfortable.  Is it you?

Hi thank you for responding,it's my daughter's ear pit that got infected she has them on both ear but only one would have that liquid come out of.It is the first time it was infected and she did receive antibiotics and the drained her ear.
