Lump under left ear

I noticed last night that small lump had surfaced beneath my ear, and thinking it was acne, I proceeded to pop it, then went to bed. This morning, I found it had slightly increased in size and had become more firm. So i proceeded to pop it again, but it stung that time and did not decrease in size, so I decided to leave it alone. The lump is about the size of a bean, and has not gone down in size. After a couple hours of leaving it alone, I found that I can't ignore it. It's causing a very small amount of pain, and it's not throbbing or stinging, but it is still causing me a feeling of discomfort. I don't think much of it, but the uncomfortable feeling just won't go away. I'm a healthy 16 year old male with no medical conditions or allergies. Maybe some of you have had a similiar experiance?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Not sure why you are thinking of doing such things, it could worsen the acne and spread the infection. Apply an antibiotic cream such as erythromycin (erytop) and vitamin A based cream on pimples. Avoid eating oily stuff and Drink 3-4 liters of water a day. if it still persists, I will advise you to seek help of a dermatologist who specializes in skin problems.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
