What does prominent posterior nasopharyngeal adenoid soft tissue mean?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It means that the adenoids are enlarged. Adenoids (or pharyngeal tonsil, or nasopharyngeal tonsil) are a mass of lymphoid tissue situated at the back of the nasal cavity, in the roof of the nasopharynx. They respond to an infection and will enlarge in size.
