Post-Nasal Drip and Swollen Lymph Tissue in Throat

Hello,

I have had chronic postnasal drip for a while now. It never seems to relate to any particular viral or bacterial cause, so I assume it is due to allergies.

I am a 53 y/o male. 18 years ago, I had my tonsils removed. They got 95% of the tissue, but left a patch of lymph tissue on the right-hand-side of my throat. This tissue seems to get inflamed when the drip is present on that side of my throat to the point I feel like a lump is stuck there. It even hurts a little, although nothing major or intolerable.

Does this sound like a normal manifestation considering my throat's altered, post-tonsillectomy configuration?

Thanks!
