I truly hope the medication puts an end to your misery...that would be great!

Last year, I had a few bouts of Thrush (anti-biotic use and hormonal imbalance)...and it is NO FUN! Makes it difficult to swallow and for me, experienced a burning mouth.

Be sure to toss out your infected tooth brush!

Best and good luck!

This will not be much help to you but for the spasms, I am wondering if a Neurologist would be better help to you. As for inability to swallow, this could be a question for both a neurologist & gastroenterologist.

You might try posting in both forums. There are both the "support" and doctor moderated forums here. Perhaps those two doctors can point you in the direction you need to go in.

As for slime down the throat, that could be post nasal drip and if your sinuses are clogged, would certainly add to that.

Lymphnodes may take a little time to settle down after infection, so give them some time. If you keep pushing on them, that too will keep them enlarged.

I wonder if something like Ativan will help you in the meantime. It's a muscle relaxer (perhaps ease the spasms) and has a calming effect.

Best to you!
