Scratching velvet/fabric sound in ear

Hello, I have been having this scratching sound/feeling in my ear for a year now. It triggers about 60% of the time when I put my index finger in my ear. When I take my finger out of the ear I can hear this scratching sound. I can also trigger this about 80% of the time by scratching the right side of my face (from the end of my right eye to my ear), which is very annoying because this happens accidentally. My GP says it is eustachian tube dysfunction which I know it's not and I've been on the ENT waiting list for what feels like forever. This has been driving me mad and I don't know anyone who has the same symptoms. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!
