Facial numbness after sinusitis - how long?

I had a bout of sinusitis on the left side recently. It responded quickly to doxycycline but it has left a big patch of my face numb (from my cheekbone across to the entire left half of my nose, left half of my upper lip and left upper teeth.) I have had this now since 2 Sept so that's 33 days. The muscles are fine and there is no heat or redness. I'm just wondering if other people have experienced this as long or longer. How long before I should get worried? Just hearing that it's not unusual would help. Thanks :)

4 years ago and nobody responded? Well, first time having acute sinusitis myself. Same antibiotic was used. Same areas of facial numbness. It all started as if it was a cold, but mostly only affected the sinuses on my Left. Occasionally the Right side would swell briefly, but shift back to the Left again. 5 days later, it's ALL the LEFT. 10 days later, it's still ALL the Left, but I can breathe normally. It seems all the inflammation is now outer-sinus membrane, not inner-sinus membrane, and it's still pressing on that particular facial nerve which is what's causing the numbness in the Left side cheek/nose/brow area, just not as bad as earlier. I get little quiver jumps in some nerve endings in the cheek area, makes me want to scratch it and/or hold it still. I call them "Quickens". I think it's a sign the feeling will come back soon.

I can't it has been 4 years also with no respond, anyway I would go have this checked out, which I am sure you have done this long ago,I was thinking this could have been a bad reaction from the antibiotic.
Believe is the word I left out ha
Antibiotic was not administered until after the swelling and numbness had already progressed. In fact, it's the only reason why an antibiotic was given so soon due to the patient having other high concern pre-existing conditions. Some people simply have more severe cases of acute sinusitis. I only hope it doesn't transition into something Chronic. If anything, it's more like a bad reaction to quitting vaping, which if this doesn't get any better in 8 weeks, then I'm going back to the e-cig habit just so I can literally keep my nose clean.
