Myringotomy

I had a myringotomy on Tuesday afternoon. It is now Thursday afternoon and I am still uncomfortable. I am NOT in any pain (unless I sneeze or burp), but I am uncomfortable. My ear feels like it is FULL...like there is water in it.....or like it needs to POP.

It is an annoying feeling and it has not gone away since the surgery. If I am laying down on that ear then the full/pop sensation goes away...but other than that it is constant.

Is this normal? How long before it goes away?

I know this is an old post, but I just had the tubes put in and I'm having the same problem, in one ear only, and it's making me crazy. Please, please tell me what happened with you! Did it go away and if so, how long did it take?

Many thanks!
