Regarding a "bump" inside the ear.

Hello, my wife and I have a few concerns. Recently, she has been experiencing ear ache, nausea, migraines, and chills these past couple weeks. We purchased a camera for the ear to see if we can see anything inside. We noticed a bump with a red ring at the end of it. Not sure what it could be. We have an appointment with the ENT next week since her family doctor did not know what it was. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I uploaded a photo under my profile of what it looks like. Thanks!

Hi.  I'm curious if you were able to see the doctor about this and what they said!  My understanding is that this could be something as simple as a pimple.  Sign, pimples. What a pain!  But also something like 'swimmer's ear'. Acute otitis media also could cause it.  Since she was sick in general, I hope the doctor was able to diagnose her.  I'd be really curious what the outcome was.
