Piercing after Ear Cartilage Removal

Hello,

I had to have ear cartilage removed 15 years ago to rebuild my nose.  I am interested in adding a few piercings to the ear that had the cartilage removed, but my piercer was hesitant to move forward until I consulted a doctor.  My question is would it be safe to have my tragus, my lobe, and possibly my helix pierced on the ear that had the cartilage removed?

You should really consult a doctor, preferably the surgeon who removed the cartilage, or who can get the records. Without knowing what you had removed, it's really impossible for anyone to answer this.

Your piercer wants a doctor consult, so you should probably get that done.

Good luck!
