Post tonsillectomy, I think some of my tonsil might of not of been removed.

Scabs have finally fallen off, I have some tissue in the back of my throat that does not look like the rest of my throat, is it possible to leave part of the tonsil behind during surgery by mistake?

Gosh, I guess anything is possible. But my guess is that is not the case. Do you have a post op appointment?  Usually you do or the next time you are in for a well check, ask. Ask if this looks like it should post tonsillectomy.  Your uvula is likely a little swollen too.   I'd just have a doctor look at it next time you are in if its the post op check or a general doc appointment.
