Submandibular lymph node removal, 38 hours post op and the area is still dead numb?

As stated big lymph node removed, and of course the area on my neck going up to the jawline was numb to the touch. No nerve block but lidocaine used. Now it’s been 38 hours and it’s still dead numb to the touch. Haven’t even used my pain medication. I can tell it’s swollen though as well I swallow/chew I feel a tight clenching there that makes it a bit difficult. Also my left ear has been making crunching noises whenever I move my jaw since the operation (assuming it irritated something and it’s like TMJ but it’s annoying) just worried as I figured I would have sensation coming back by now. Surgeon told my family he was confident he didn’t hit any nerves or anything. When I smile you can see just on my chin where the numb part tugs back.

Am I worrying too early? Why would the ear be making a crunching noise with any jaw movement? Is this par for the course and will this recover?
