Hm, well, your doctor seems to be following up on this for you. What is their interpretation of what is going on? Any explanation from them? That IS a little odd that you don't have any pain but the doctor notes inflammation. Is the doctor treating the inflammation? By definition, pharyngitis is inflammation of the throat and is called by non medical people, a sore throat. Possibly you were getting sick and are fighting it off as inflammation happens for that reason. Been a long time but whose to say you constantly have this inflammation. You just had it when they looked. Prolonged stress can cause chronic inflammation by the way. I really don't look in my throat all that much. What prompted you to investigate? I'd do what the doctor says to reduce the inflammation and then monitor for other symptoms. If it is just white lines in your throat, then probably normal.
