constant off balance sensation

Someone/anyone please help!  For 1 whole year now I have felt off balance.
From the moment I wake up until the moment I go to sleep I feel off balance. Every 2 steps the floor drops 2 inches. Seriously, EVERY TWO STEPS I TAKE THE FLOOR FEELS LIKE IT DROPS 2 INCHES!  It is the worse feeling in the world!  Keep in mind this is all day every f'in day. Obviously you can see how upset about it I am. I am becoming very depressed by it and try to stay in bed as much as possible because of the feeling. I have been to every doctor known to man and have tried every medication known to man. Here is the problem,  THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG AND NO ONE CAN FIND IT! It absolutely can not be right to feel this way. It is no way to live. I keep telling my husband that I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It is not anxiety related because it is all the time. I have not had one day of relief in 1 whole year. I have cried many times over it and sometimes I hit the side of my head to see if I can knock something lose. It sounds ridiculous, but living with an off balance sensation for a year will make you go crazy.

So my symptoms:
As mentioned above every 2 steps I take, the floor drops 2 inches
When I'm sitting down I will periodically feel like my head moves 2 inches to the right or left.
When I look down and then look up, I drop 2 inches.

I can't play with my 19 month old son anymore on the floor because just playing/moving around makes me feel like the floor is rocking. I can't look at a computer screen without it moving back and forth and forget about grocery shopping. There was nothing that predisposed this. Just one day I woke up and bam off balance sensation. I have been to the ER 3 times now because I couldn't take it anymore. The ONLY time I don't feel the moving sensation is when I'm driving. That is it! I am 24 years old and shouldn't be feeling like this. I miss cooking and doing the things I love.

Please if anyone has any of the same experiences and can help.

OMG!!!  You have symptoms just like I do, but mine are milder which allow me to actually function normal to some degree.  It all started in August 2009 after moving back to France.  Out of nowhere these symptoms came on.

Please PM and we can talk about this.

I can tell you in detail how I cope.

Have you considered an inner ear infection?   off balance may be caused by the fluids in your ears being affected.

It might help if you could list all the tests and scans and bloodwork that you've had so far.  And do you have any other symptoms - ANYTHING?
