Help

I was officially diagnosed with endo this past march. Over the last two years I've struggled with severe lower back and pelvic pain. I've been on 4-5 different types of BC pills, depo proverb for 6 months, and now I'm trying the Mirena IUD, along with a daily BC pill to prevent me from getting my period (I have to skip the 4th week of pills and go straight to the next pack). I don't know how to deal with the pain anymore. My doctors have prescribed me prescription pain medicine (Vicodin, Percocet, tramadol, Tylenol 3, 800 Motrin, the list goes on). My surgeon referred me to a pain management clinic but it's turning in to quite the ordeal even to get an appointment. My doctor tells me that when I do go, they can probably do some kind of shot on my back that should help with the pain. Has anyone had experience with this? Or so you have the level of pain I do (which is all day every day, doesn't matter the time of month. I don't eve get my preriod anymore!). If you do, what has worked for you? I'm going into month 2 of the mirena IUD, so I'm not quite at the 3 month threshold for possible relief. I don't know if it will rem work. And on top of all the endo pain, I've gained 20 pounds from the hormone treatments. I'm starting a new job on Monday and thought I'd at least have my first pain clinic appointment out of the way. The last thing I want to do is to go into my new job telling them I have to take time off for doctors appointments. I'd like to keep under wraps as long as possible. On a side note, I've discovered that marijuana seems to help. I was never ever ever a pot smoker but a friend of mine had the idea. I looked into it and apparently some people do use it to treat endo pain. I must say, it works, but its not something you can do everyday and function. It's just a temporary relief. I'm just frustrated and at the end of my rope. No one understands what this is like. We all look "normal" and like there could never be anything physically wrong with us. It's so frustrating. I guess I'm just looking for some advice or something from people who understand. Thanks everyone!

I have had this sissue since i was 13, I also devolped stomach issues but that abdominal pain and lower back pain ive had forever. My periods are so intense I vomit from the pain. I used to be a pot smoker but I stopped smoking when I came to Christ and I guess the pain ive learned to live with. People and doctors just think Im making things up due to sonograms showing nothing. It does suck im sorry you have to deal with this, I usually take hot/warm baths to lessen the pain. The stabbing pains I guess I just take it, I no longer wanted to rely on pain pills, advils, weed, ect. I have been told by my friend that at the clinics ( Marijuana ) they sell a liquid drop that is called tingshers I believe you can google or ask and it has no THC which is in the Marijuana that gets you high. It just has the effects of the Marijuana that relieves pain so look into it im sure it will help and you wont get the high effects of weed. Keep in touch. . Also a heat pad for your lower back.
