Should I just find a new doctor?

Like many of you, I have been to what feels like every doctor in this state and I feel like none of them have helped at all as it took forever to even be diagnosed. My current doctor has me on Lupron the nightmare drug for stage 3 endo and I have had a plethora of symptoms and side effects from it anything from severe fatigue and weakness to not being able to walk on my own at all be it from pain or weakness. And ontop of that now I'm having hair loss. He insists that those symptoms are unheard of that Lupron only causes slight moodiness and sore breasts. But that's the thing I'm on month 3 and am having a truckload of symptoms and have been writing them all down ever since my first treatment and am over 22 side effects that I've NEVER had an issue with before Lupron. I haven't been able to eat anything but plain toast and crackers for 2 weeks without puking my guts out- these hormones are making me SICK. I've been on bed rest since January 1st and will be until Further notice. I called the doctor again yesterday reading him my list of symptoms and insisting that I no longer want to do this hormone that is tearing apart my life. The abdominal pain has even increased and I keep asking him for pain killers he is feeling me to keep trying ibuprofen but that doesn't even scratch the surface of it all. I begged him to go through with the excursion surgery, and he told me that it won't do any good it will be pointless because he's going to put me right back on Lupron even after I get the surgery. I can't and won't do that. I hate this shot more than any treatment I've ever done. I'm not even 21 yet and am in suspended menopause from it! To me that's just crazy. My fiancé and I have been calling all over the US and found 2 highly recommended Endometriosis specializing clinics one in NY and one in CA. It would be pricey for us to go to either they gave us quotes of $15,000-$20,000 for this surgery alone but garunteed its effectiveness. I'm just tired of feeling ignored and my concerns and side effects being shrugged off as if they were a common cold, being told they are nothing more than a coincidence. If he would have told me all the side effects I would have never gotten this in the first place. I need a doctor who will listen and care about this stuff. It's really scary to me.. And So. Should I stay with the current doctor and tough out this Lupron or just travel and get the surgery done by a specialist? I don't know what to do I feel so alone in this :(

So sorry to hear what you're going through hun. My advice to you is definitely to find another doctor. There are tons of doctors out there, and not all are good ones. If your doctor isn't listening to you, move on. Find an endo specialist if you can in your area, that will be your best bet. Which doctor did you find in CA? There are 2 good surgeons here, Dr. Cook and Dr. Nezhat, I've seen them both. Ended up getting my surgery done 2 weeks ago with Dr. Nezhat because my insurance covered more with him. Both of them spoke negatively of Lupron btw, they said the side effects are just too severe. If your pain is uncontrollable even with Lupron, and you feel this sick from it, please try something else, don't stay on it! See a specialist for your best options. If you decide to go through with the surgery, make sure you choose a good surgeon. Sounds like you've already done some research, good job! Hope you feel better hun!
