Hi there
You will get more replies if you start a new topic but I have similar pain / symptoms to you and also waiting laparoscopy. I am on slow release pain killers tramadol 200mg and diclofenac slow release also 75mg (this means no wearing off of tablets and waiting for them to work and only have to take them every 12 hours. Hope you can get some good pain relief sorted out soon !!! I find using a heat pad when the pain is at its worst helps too. Just take it steady dont walk too much def dont run and get as much help as you can ....iron sitting if you have to ....I have had it 6 months and still waiting ...good luck
Hello! I am new to this forum, but am soooo happy I found it!! I am 31 and have had 2 children without a problem.. However, I just found out I have an ovarian cyst, and have been diagnosed with endo.. I have been in a crazy amount of pain for 3 months.. I can't work or move around too much without a lot of pain.. I am scheduled for a Laparoscopy January 3rd.. I am praying they can find something and give me some relief.. I have 2 children and a hubby to take care of, yet I can't :0( I am very frusterated and nervous.. Breast Cancer/Cancer runs in my family and that scares me.. My Dr said that that had nothing to do with this.. Still I can't help but worry... My symptoms are constant dull-severe pain in my abdomen, back, sides, and stomach.. I am nauseous, have no appetite (I've lost 17 pounds since this started), l get lightheaded.... Anyone else have these symptoms? And this is all the time, not just during my period.. During my period it just multiplies... I am so frusterated, any advice or words of experiance would be appreciated =0)
Oh dear well hope it happens soon for you!!!
Christmas is a great time to get pregnant!
Yeah..im kinda working on that now ;) i hope we get a big fat POSITIVE this month! please GOD cant take the pain no more. and i want a baby too :)) but i say kinda cause i cant have sex much :(
just get pregnant !!! that will stop the pain of endo ........hope you manage it very soon and have another one straight after too lol so you can cope with the first one without pain xx
soo..its been over 3 months and Im still having more pain with sex and horrible periods!! :( i stopped the b.c. 2 weeks ago and no improvement now im trying to stop everything that could be irritating me. no soaps down there, cleaning with distilled water and hypoallergenic products,no underwear(accept when bleeding of course) chlorine free t.p. etc etc any other ideas for me? anything would be appreciated, but no more drugs(for now) *sigh*
ohh wow thanks for the info! yaz..can u level ur periods with that pill? or does it stop it completely?i stopped taking my bcpill i kept bleeding everyday for 2 months. :/ and it hurts. im going to maybe switch or only take it to level mine out give me more normal periods so i can get pregnant
kari, I have that same bending over thing! It's SOO uncomfortable. I have tried arnica before (I always used the topical gel for my ballet injuries in the past) but I have also tried the little pills... It didn't do a whole lot for me...but I feel like nothing really does besides narcotics :/. I felt great I'd say about a month or two after surgery, from then until about now for the most part I felt really good, and could sleep through the night without getting up to pee. I still noticed some bad periods and occassional pain, but I only get about 4 periods a year, and I know the first couple periods after surgery are likely to be bad, but should improve (if I remember that correctly). I would switch your pill maybe... I've been on three in the past couple years because some just don't work for you as an individual. I was on lo-ovral first and that for some reason made me bleed heavily for weeks at a time, and even doubling up the pill didn't help me much. Now I am on yasmine and its great, the first pill to not give me breakthrough bleeding! I would talk to your doctor about switching to another one theres so many different ones out there.
i have a couple questions..im still taking the b.c. but still having painful periods and now im taking double the amount. do u know how long it takes to get rid of the pain? and how long after u got surgery did the pain stop? were u ever able to get pregnant after surgery? please let me know..kari
i forgot to say, that it takes some time to work inside the body (arnica) good luck to you!
yes jess.. with me i have more pain with movement. especially when i bend over or if my lower stomach or pelvis is up against something (like the counter top when im doing the dishes). its really uncomfortable! i had the lap already and still no improvement. i also have it on my bladder, urethra. :/ i also have fibro and slipped disks in my neck..i have to tell you ive been taking this natural drug called arnica Montana for the pain and its really helped alot i would try that and they also make one for bladder pain. its hylands brand u can find it online. if taken as directed its been a life saver for me i take it when i know i have to do something that will require physical activity
yes just waiting for the date should be by end jan though :)
Yeah, I had a lap. in march confirming endo on my bladder, ureter, and behind my uterus, are you having one to confirm your diagnosis?
Hi there
yes to all of the above!!!!
I haven't had my lap yet and therefore no diagnosis but I am sure it is endo that I have as it doesn't show up on any scans!!!
Are you booked in for a laparoscopy
I was just wondering... does anybody else have a big increase i pain with exercise? or even being on your feet? or stress? I feel like doctors keep telling me that pain from exercise wouldn't happen from endo...but I don't know, I feel like it might, but I have no idea how. Does anyone know anything about that?
thanks. ill try that maybe later, right now my doc is prescribing two bcp a day so im going to wait and see if this helps first, its free,so it worth the try!
If you want to try Lupron and add-back and do not have insurance there is patient assistance and if you do have insurance you can go to
http://www.endofacts.com/ and search coupon. I was able to save at least $70 with the coupon.
Hope this helps,
achilles2
I have only had one but it was 4-5hrs long because of how much there was and the damage that was done. Lupron is way too expensive, it cost me $1500 for one injection for 3 months with the add back therapy. I would rather be on my bcp that I have been on for 4yrs.
The funny thing is its possible that I might have Lymes disease as well and I am wondering what part of the pain is endo and what part is that.
oh wow..im sorry u are still in so much pain ;( how many surgeries have u had? i just found out how much lupron is,and i cant afford it:( i guess ill stay on this b.c pill its called mono nessa half progesterone and half estrogen. thanks so much for getting back..hope ur surgery goes well! so far im still spotting its so irritating blahhh im glad i can talk to someone about it i dont feel so alone :)
yes the pain while urinating is the worst!!! I had it over all the ureters, bowels and bladder. The Lupron I guess helped but the pill i took continuously didn't have as many side effects and it worked just as good if not better.
I was taking Marvelon21.
Right now back on the Lupron and back to the surgeon in 3 weeks. I really need something done.
oops actually its only been a little over 2 months since surgery..ps i also have it on my urethra hints the pain when i urinate
omy GOODNESS! thats horrible, im sorry it was so bad! sorry im so late getting back to you. mine isnt as spread out as yours, but my doc said it was the most painful of the kind. so far i have MORE pain then i did before surgery :( im thinking i need to start the Lupron even though i dont want to,b/c i want to have children sometime and im 31, and married and have yet to have any kids. :( i cant have sex with my hubby still! its been 3 months and im taking B.c for the pain but it isnt working, we tried 2 times and its worse than before..so hopefully the lupron will work for me (havent tried it yet) please pray! thanks for writing! :) can you tell me how long lupron takes to kick in? and if there are side effects?
Hi there
Yes it is horrible dealing with the constant pain I feel disabled sometimes.
I too am still waiting for my dates for surgery am a bit scared though as not had surgery down there before!
Are you going to have the same surgeon as last time?
Not sure which one would be better for you to have as they are both horrible so I suppose I can only hope you get it sorted soon whichever one it is.
God Blessxx
