endometrosis i have IT!

i got laproscopy in aug and im still having pain. im taking birth control pills and they are causing other side effects :( my question is how long does this medication take to kick in? would someone recomend something else? im sick of the pain but i want to beable to become pregnant within a yr from now..should i just stop taking the pill even though the bleeding hurts me? help please thanks :)

I agree with Diva, I too, don't use the pill.  I was basically a robot when I took them.  I actually use pain meds and fish oil.  Maybe you can read up on natural ways to control your endometriosis, instead.

sooo..i started the "spotting" last month tomorrow,normally by now i would have had spotting,or tenderness in my breasts.i have neither. i wonder why..maybe the b.c. did even out my period. or maybe???

I don't take any birth control or any medication of any kind. I really can't handle the side effects. I would much rather deal with the endo symptoms than the BC ones. You don't have to take it if you don't want to.

yeah i decided to stop the pill i took it for almost 3 months, i keep bleeding everyday,and it hurt. im going to let my period come and then even it out with the pills for about 6 months or until in gets to where i only have a 7 day period or less (normal menstrual) i hope this works im kinda just going by wht my aunt did before she became pregnant she has endo too...wish me luck!!

I had my 2 weeks after my surgery. I was already into my first lupron injection  for about 5 days by then. I had the same amount of pain like I had before the surgery. I am not sure if the pain goes away completely.

Maybe you can ask for alternative treatment.

What pill are you on?

I wouldn't recommend coming off it until you are ready.
