Does mononucleosis go away?

I’m 17 years old and in January of his year I came down with an unknown sickness. I was waking up every morning puking and by the afternoon I would feel exhausted but better. I couldn’t even go to school because it got so bad. Now almost 6 months later I’ve learned it was mono. I still am sick most mornings but I no longer vomit every time. I’m just wondering if this will eventually subside or if I have an underlying Illness.
