Is there medication to treat this virus? Also what types of "natural" treatments might be beneficial in keeping the virus from progressing and doing further damage? Thanks in advance for your time, Vicky

My doctor has had success in treating with Valcyte. I do have high HHV6 levels also. I am willing to try anything to have somewhat of a life again. I also take multi immune transfer factor and NT fatigue plus the vitamins and minerals.

Nothing really helps with the chronic tiredness....

There is not a medication that has proven effective against EBV.  Some people have taken anti-viral medications, but from what I understand, they aren't very effective.  The only natural treatments that I have tried are eating a healthy diet.  I have found that when I eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean protein, I feel better.  In addition to that, I also juice fresh fruits and veggies and drink about 8 oz of that a day.  I take vitamin supplements like Vitamin C, a B complex, a multivitamin, and a calcium/magnesium/zinc pill.  I also completely avoid processed foods.  These are not cures, but I personally, feel less fatigue/muscle pain when I do this.
