Mono or STI?

I received fellatio and ejaculated in a girls mouth exactly 1 month and 3 weeks ago.  The day after i received it, I had swollen lymph nodes and swollen tonsils.  I went to the clinic and the doctor said it was tonsillitis and gave me amoxicillian.  Throughout the duration of taking the meds I felt back to normal however, swollen lymph nodes still occurred.  2 days after I finished the anitobiotics, the swollen tonsils came back worse.  I tested negative for mono and was given cephalexin in case it was strep throat from the doctor at a local hospital.  Again, I felt normal again while taking the meds, but my lymph nodes were still swollen.  This time, 2 weeks after I finished the meds, the swollen tonsils came back.  The lymph nodes still are swollen.

Is it possible I have mono and got tested for it to early? or do I have an STI/D?

Granted, I have never dealt with an STD, but I am wondering how putting your penis in someone else's mouth would give you a sore throat.  Maybe if she had strep throat or something maybe you would would have got a sick penis.  Maybe she had a sore throat and you were kissing and caught her sore throat, but that is still a very short incubation period.  Maybe you already were caring a bug and it just happened to catch up to you at that time.  By the way, how is the girl feeling, maybe she is not well either with a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes??
