Hello jennlj84,
Here is part of my story: I was recently diagnosed with EBV reactivation. Drug-induced by anti-convulsants. My test results are higher than yours. I have had it chronic since before 2013 however it was not until the right doctor came along that they put all the pieces together.I was sent to an infectious disease specialist because for a year I had been running intermittent fevers, was severly anemic, had awful night sweats and everytime they tried any medication I ended up with either Steven Johnson Syndrom or multi organ DRESS . He diagnosed me with a past infection of Q fever and said because I did extensive travel in areas noted for Q fever he felt the titers were correct. I now know that the EBV can mimick Q fever so I believe that was the problem all along as does my current doctor. There is not a medication I have been able to take that has not put me in the hospital. I was finally diagnosed with Anti-convulsant hypersensitivty syndrome related directly to the EBV.
To awnser your question, I am going on two months now of feeling awful. in the last week I have statred to experience quite a bit of hair loss. My spleen is enlarged which accounts for the sick to my stomach feeling since eating anything causes me to feel full FAST! It also causes me to feel uncomfortable as if I have something pressing on it. I also have the gland in my neck swollen along with two nodels on my thyroid-they just popped up. I am thinking that EBV has attacked the thyroid (it is one of it's favorite places to reside) and this is the reason for the hair loss. I have a scan next week on my neck. So, yes I have experienced this. The fatique is literally debilitating for me. I can hardly even take a walk now the muscles in my legs hurt so bad.
I wish you the best and I will post how this turns out.
