Losing erection with diabetes and hypertension

My husband, 32yrs, was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and Hypertension. He was put on medication 4days ago. Today we tried to have sex, and he was losing erection even after penetration. That has never happen since we got married 3yrs ago. Does the medication or Diagnoses affect that??

Yes - both conditions can affect erections. Diabetic men have a higher incidence of erectile prblms, altho usually not right away, it might show up some years after being diagnosed. On the other hand, BP meds are well-known to cause prblms w/ erections. He can ask his Dr. if he can try a different BP med - some are much less likely to cause that unfortunate side effect. Also, this could start very soon after taking the med, possibly even the first time he took it. Hope that helps…
