Small pea sized lump at base of penis

During foreplay with my wife, she noticed a small lump at the base of my penis. Neither of us have noticed it before.  It doesn’t hurt. When erect it is on the left center underside all the way at the base of the shaft. When flaccid it I have to “dig” to feel it. Trying not to touch it, it’s been about 6 days since we noticed it.

Always best to see a doc and get professional eyes on it.   It 'could' be a lymphocele which is a hard lump that appears and although it usually happens after something traumatic like a surgical procedure, it can happen after sex. It's trauma related. Given you also have an injury in your nearby groin . . .   perhaps. It also very well could be a cyst (normally harmless).  I'd get it checked by a doctor if it is there at the end of this week.

After another week it has definitely shrunk to the point where if I just felt it for the first time I wouldn’t even think twice. But since I know it’s there I notice it. It’s almost impossible to find flaccid.
Keep monitoring it.  That it is shrinking is a great sign and again, points to its being harmless. Your doctor can tell you for sure.

I forgot to add, my left groin is strained from playing basketball.
