And do you think trainers know much more? I've seen many give the wrong advice on how to use some machines. Machines aren't the best to use!
Just like many doctors aren't good.
What Is wrong with interval training? The clip on Mercola is excellent! You can do many different forms of interval training must I show a different one each time?

That isn't the point -- I don't care if you disagree with me.  That's good for people posting, they get to see different angles.  Just answer the question -- tell all of us what an answer is that suits you so we can all adhere to what you want the forum to look like.

Talk is cheap and Paxiled hasn't given you an answer to your question.

Not knowing what your injury is see if you can try the following.

Gym, how long are you going to carry this irrational grudge?  My answer was very clear -- get someone to show the person how to exercise the parts of the body desired to be exercised so it doesn't irritate the knee and aren't done incorrectly.  How much clearer could I be?  While you of course recommended You Tube, which doesn't involve someone watching to see if the exercise is done correctly over and over until muscle memory takes over.  Most times, the best answer by non-experts isn't to go surf the web -- the web is the font of info ranging from terrible to wonderful but users can't tell which is which -- but to consult someone with the proper expertise.  That is an answer.  So, please, explain just what you consider an answer?  Do I have to tell someone to do something wrong or speculative, as you do by citing Mercola all the time?  I have no problem at all with you experimenting on yourself, that's fine with me, but it isn't necessarily going to help someone else, nor is whatever I've done going to necessarily going to do that.  Health is providing what suits the individual in front of you, not a mythical average person.  Are you going to supervise this person's workout to make sure further injury doesn't occur by watching You Tube with no knowledge of which demos on it are good ones?  Please, tell all of us on here what an answer is and we'll all adhere to your dogma.

Running doesn't really exercise your core, so the knee isn't a problem there.  What I'd recommend is seeing a physical therapist who can show you tons of core building exercises, as well as exercises to strengthen your knee and the muscles around it.  Or you can go to a gym and get a personal trainer to show you.  Or go on You Tube.  Or wait for someone here to mention a thousand exercises, because there are literally thousands of different exercises to work on different parts of your core, not that working on your core has proven to be all that beneficial.  In fact, some believe all the core building by serious athletes today has caused harder to treat core injuries that take longer to recover from, but that's another story.  As for aerobics, there's swimming, bicycling (if it doesn't hurt your knee), walking when you're up to it, and even working out quickly with light weights so you get out of breath.  You can still do abs, which are quite vigorous exercises.  How bad is your knee, have you seen someone, and have you been recommended to see a physical therapist to rehab?

I didn't finish one thought -- people will recommend a thousand different exercises but won't be able to show you how to do them properly or watch you to see if you're doing them correctly.  Talk is cheap, but having someone repeatedly show you is best, and even then, over time, you end up doing them wrong!  Ah. life.
