Hello, I a 19 year old male and relatively out of shape. I'm 6'4" and weigh a lil over 200 pounds which is mostly body fat lol. I'm a hypochondriac and because of that I've been to a lot of doctors lately. I've had a Cat Scan which came up fine, I've had blood work that didn't show anything wrong, and also had an x-ray of my neck which didn't show anything wrong.
I finally started to feel like I wasn't sick and was just imagining it and decided to start running as a "new beginning" of not worrying about my health lol. I currently run a mile a day, which I know isn't much but I'm pretty out of shape and am just getting started. However, whenever my heart rate goes up I seem to feel it in the back of my neck. It happens where my spine meets the bottom of my skull, where it kind of dips in a bit. It's not necessarily painful, but it's definitely something I can feel as well as "hear" in a way. It's as if my heart is beating at that spot on my neck. It doesn't just have to be running. If I get really worked up (like am about to be in a fight or something like that that would get my heart going) I'll get the throbbing feeling at that spot.
Does anyone know if this is normal or just because I'm out of shape or should I get it checked out? Thank you for reading this long post and thank you for your help.
