It depends on your height, weight, activity. But generally, women should'nt go below 1200calories a day. Otherwise the metabolism slows down. And I think weightloss is different for everyone, so I would'nt follow any particular guidelines. As long as you don't go too hard on yourself. I would suggest eating more protein after workouts, that should keep your muscles in place
About 2 lbs a week is healthy, much more than that is hard on your system. There's some calculators and trackers on this site (MedHelp) that can help you figure out how much to cut your calories.
