You need to lift heavy weights. Keep your reps between 6-10, no more. Light weights don't do anything at all except give you a cardio workout. You also need to be eating to gain mass!
hmm... yea i already eat alot but nothing is helping ...!! Shud i take mega mass or other food supplements?? do they have sideeffects ??
Is the problem that you just can't fit in enough cals due to not having an appetite? You could try a weight gainer protein powder if that's the case, or add in healthy fats like peanut butter or nuts since those are calorie dense, but wont' leave you feeling stuffed!
no i don't think dat apetite is the problem... But still i think dat i shud give it a try ... I will take mega mass 4000... But wht about the side effects ?? does it have any ??
Okay, first of all yes you will need to lift slightly larger wieghts but don't over due it or you will tear and hurt muscles in the wrong way (that would be counter productive). If you want help gaining muscles and mass in general, try protien shakes before and after workouts. Look for ones that are specific to your needs (you can go online but mostly you can get them at wal mart). This will A) give you extra calories so that are gaining mass B) something for your body to work with for fuel because when you work out and you want to gain you need to consume a bit more and C) these shakes are meant to help your body gain muslce, mostly lean but some aren't.
That is my only real suggestion. BEsides, don't worry too much about bulking up, you aren't done growing (you will keep going late into your 20's) and that is when most guys really start to fill out. You know with the broad shoulders and all that jazz. Good luck though.
thanks....yea I already lift heavy and eat around 4 meals a day !! But nothing worked for me thats y i am opting for mega mass.... Btw wht about the sideeffects of these protein shakes or mega mass ?? does it have any sideeffects ???
There aren't side affect. They are very good to have. As long as you aren't allergic to the protien supliment (soy or wey) then you should be fine. Try a couple different brands and find the one you like the most. If you don't like how one sits with you or the taste then try a different one. I use them for training and I have had family memebers use them. Totally safe.
thanks again... There are mega mass of several brands available but which brand would you suggest me like body fortress, weider, GNC ,etc. ???
Hi, your age is just 17 and you should focus more on your diet rather than exercise. Although weightlifting is good but you should not lift heavy weights more than your capabilities. You should comfortably be able to do 10 repetitions. Your body is still growing and you were doing serious exercise on the top of that which means you need extra calories and extra proteins. I advise you to increase your carbohydrate and protein content of the diet in the ratio 4:1. This will help to make sure body requirements and ofcourse body mass. Thank you.
