Wrist pain when pushing (e.g. push ups)

I got a wrist pain when pushing something with my hand, for example when doing push up. I went for MRI scan and the result was there was moderate strain without overt tear at the dorsal and volar components of the right scapholunate ligament. My doctor also advised me to wear wrist brace.
But it has been more than one month that I wear the wrist brace (the injury itself has been more than 3 months), I am wondering how long does it usually take for the ligament to heal?
And is there any further advise (like supplement or exercise to accelerate the healing process)?

Yes I work, and mostly I work in front of a computer. I know that using computer for long time can develop CTS, but in this case it is not likely related to it. As for exercise, nowadays I don't really do exercise that heavily uses my hand.. Mostly will be jogging, sit ups..

More than 3 months seems to be a long time! Do you work and if so does it affect your hands? Have you limited yourself at exercise?

The doctor is a hand surgeon. He said that it was not that serious as the ligament was not torn yet, so no need to do surgery. Also I have reduced my exercises as the doctor said, but I am wondering how long does it take for this cases to heal because the improvement so far is quite minor.

I'm guessing the doctor is a hand surgeon ! What does he/she say about how bad it is and if you can still do exercises.
