6 year old blinking and rolling eyes to right side

My then 5 year old son complained of his eyes "vibrating" several months ago and at the time I asked him several questions and chalked it up to him being hyper aware of his body. However,  now 6, he began having excessive blinking all day yesterday and it was still going on today and seemed to be even more animated. I asked him if his eyes were bothering him and he said no, and doesn't even realize he's doing it. He shuts his eyes repetitively, tightly closing them and his eyes kind of roll to the side as they open. From what I've read this can be a tic that is triggered from being over tired or stressed and hopefully will go away within a few weeks or sooner (but can also last much longer or turn into more). He is a very sensitive boy by nature and does get over stimulated fairly easy at times but otherwise no diagnosed "disorders". I'm hoping it is short lived but wanted to see if anyone had any insight to offer. Thank you ♡

If it were my kid, I'd take him to the doc for an evaluation.  The pediatrician can do a mini-neurological exam and determine if this is something probably benign or transient vs something with more serious implications.
