After Scleral buckle vitrectomy surgury.

Hi i have been seeing same black curtain as it was before my retina detachment and i have done my surgery just like four days ago with scleral buckle and TPPV ( Trans pars plana vitrectomy ). i have c3f8 gas in my left eye i am seeing same gray curtain shadow i cant see it clear because i have gas in my eye but i can see it when i close my other eye after surgery and also started flashing of light. I had follow up appointment and doctor say its good but i dont know is this normal. Thanks for any response appreciated...

Use the search feature and archives and read the many posts about retinal detachment surgery, vitrectomy and intraocular gas in eye.

There is no way to tell for sure but if your surgeon was pleased its likely the black curtain is the gas bubble. You do need however to call your surgeons office and discuss your situation again.
