Post ERM surgery and glaucoma testing.

I had macular pucker surgery 8 weeks ago and doing well. I'm also a glaucoma suspect and my yearly appt with a specialist is scheduled for next week. I'm concerned that all the testing, especially the bright lights may be too much for my still-healing retina? I'm wondering if I should wait a couple months.

You have a couple of options.  1. ask your retina surgeon  2. ask your glaucoma surgeon. Both should say yes. If either says no then you can post-pone a couple of months.  Most of the glaucoma tests will not be affected by your surgery.

Not a doctor, but when it comes to eyes I wouldn’t wait. Your retinal specialist has no doubt monitored your IOP on follow up visits after the surgery, and keeping the upcoming specialist visit should be fine as long as he/she knows you’ve recently had ERM surgery.
