Astigmatism after Chalazion removal

I've had astigmatism in my 20/20 right eye due to styes and chalazion since november 2012.  I've had chalazion cut out twice since november, swelling is down, still have astigmatism.  I try to do hot compresses often, they don't seem to do much. I'm going to talk to MD about having the corneal topography scan done. I've used steroid drops. Any help or similar situations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Has your astigmatism resolved? I too have a chalazion which is causing astigmatism.

1. Use the search feature and archives and read the previous posts about the treatment of blepharitis and chalazia.
2. Discuss going on oral tetracycline for several months with the Eye MD cornea specialist.
3. Permanent astigmatism due to chalazia is very very rare in adults.
