Astigmatism and double vision? I’m not sure.

My opthamologist said my eyes are fine and that is most likely caused by astigmatism. I have differently positioned ghost images in each eye. They are multiple images though.I am not sure if I should seek a second Opthamologist opinion or not. My parents are tired of me complaining and worrying about it but I am not able to enjoy my favorite hobbies (drawing and reading) anymore.

If you have astigmatism that is causing symptoms then the usual treatment is glasses or contact lens.  If you wear glasses or contacts and still have the problem then I would get a second opinion from an Eye MD ophthalmologist if possible one that specializes in cornea/refractive eye problems.

Thank you. So maybe an ophthalmologist retina specialist? The glasses don’t really help that much to be honest.
retina surgeons don't usually deal with astigmatism, glasses, contact lens or ghost images.
