We use Alcon and tecnis aspherics and torics and the Crystalens HD These new spheric IOLs are like modern automobiles and very reliable from company to company in US and Europe. The "premium" focusing IOLs are where differences appear.

Out of curiosity, which aspheric implant (or spherical) do you prefer?
The concept behind the LI61AO looks interesting. I had not looked at the details until the last few days.
For reference, I have these implants, and am generally pleased, but I'm always curious about other opinions and the science behind them.
I actually have done MORE research since having the surgery than before. I was so anxious to get my incredibly bad vision fixed (at least as far as the cataracts) that the only real decision I made, based on what I knew at the time, was monofocal and long distance focal. I let the physician decide what was the best implant based on my eye history and his judgement from his practice.
Thank you Dr. Hagan. Always a pleasure to get your opinions and input on different topics.
Our practice does not use that IOL but its a quality company and in the medical journals there is not a excess of IOL problems like the ReZoom IOL. Here's a good link http://www.escrs.org/Publications/Eurotimes/04September/pdfs/ABERRATIONFREEIOL.pdf
