Blunt Trauma Injury

24 year old male, surgery (lense implant, no retinal detachment) 10 years ago due to paint ball injury.  Constant problems since then with eye "redness", now I have a white bump on the white part of my eye (maybe not even related). During exam last year to see if I could wear a contact, the optomotrist commented that the implanted lense did not appear to be centered correctly but because of scar tissue and healing over the years, thought it was probably best just to leave it.  They did refer me to an optomologist who also did confirm that.  Now, the eye bothers me a little more than usual, and with this new "bump" I am wondering.... Can these lense implants ever be "re-done"?  If the lense is not sitting behind my eye correctly, it probably explains the constant irritation, redness and the vision not really being that great although I know there was no guarantee on how much my vision was going to improve after the surgery.  It's somewhat better than post accident, pre-surgery, where I had lost 75% of my vision in that eye.

I doubt this bump is related to the IOL position.  The bump is on the surface and the IOL is inside the eye.  IOL can be redone.  However,  there are risks involved, especially in an eye with previous trauma.

Go and find another ophthalmologist specialized in the anterior of the eye! Seems your intra ocular lens is dislocated.
Exchange of the IOL is possible depending on the state of the eye.
