Hello I am writing on be-half of my Mom. She is 66 years old and does have high blood pressure but is somewhat controlled with medication. Other than this she is healthy. Currently, she is experiencing a terrible burning sensation in the back of her right eye. She says it feels as though there is a piece of sand in it and sometimes this piece moves from one side to the next. It has been like this for a few days now. We would just like to know what this could be? I am taking her in tomorrow morning to our eye doctor so he can examine her eye and we'll go from there but in the meantime I am very worried and would like to know what this could be.
She does apply eye drops (blink) and this does give temporary relief but then it comes back again. It only burns when she blinks.
Thank you for your help,
Steph.
