Can a macular pseudohole after RD surgery cause prominent distortions?

I went through a mac-off RD surgery with scleral buckle and gas bubble 2.5 months ago, I have been noticing distortions with wavy lines, pinched and small images (metamorphopsia and micropsia) ever since the bubble started going down.
During the last checkup the surgeon diagnosed me with a pseudohole - a type of ERM I am told. Questions
1) Can that be the root cause of my distortions?
2) Can it go away on its own?

1. Yes, saw someone with that problem in my clinic this morning.  2. Not likely going away and can get worse, needs to be monitored with self testing Amsler Grid and regular exam with Eye MD ophthalmologist doing macular OCT.

Many thanks for taking the time, doc. My RD is doing a checkup in 6 weeks. Is there a risk at all with this surgery? Wondered why the RD wanted to wait and watch unless it needs to mature a bit. The distortions are driving me crazy! Happy Holidays!
Yes macular hole surgery is difficult, often long surgery and frequently can make distortion better but often not make it go away completely.
Thank you again, doc. I am guessing a macular Pseudohole surgery is less complex than a macular hole surgery? He said it was a 20- minute peel with a 1-day bubble if he goes there.  I would be thrilled to see my micropsia and metamorphopsia at least reduce. I will keep you in the loop in 6 weeks. Warm regards from the Windy City!
Lived there 4 years,  yes windy and cold.
