Question about mini-monovision

If one is attempting to achieve mini-monovision, post cataract surgery, would targeting the dominant eye for the near (reading) vision be problematic in any significant way? I understand the reasoning behind targeting the dominant eye for distance when a distance bias is preferred.

After re-reading my post, I realize I may need to clarify. I'm asking about mini-monovision with a near bias.

While  dominant for distance and non-dominant for near is the general rule,  I have seen many many patients do well with the reverse.  Discuss with your surgeon.
