Chalazion in 4 year old

My 4 year old had a chalazion on his left lower lid for almost 4 months took him to ophthalmologist and he did the surgery to remove it about 2 weeks ago, sent him home with the normal eye ointment to do for 7 days 3 times a day. No today his lower lid is still slightly swollen and the chalazion is still very much visible, is this normal or is there something else I should do?

You need to call the ophthalmologist. It's not usual course. And what is "normal eye ointment? "  Most kids that develop chalazia or styes need to use a daily cleaner such as Ocusoft platimum plus eyelid cleaner or Avenova Presecription eye lid cleaner. Ask the optometrist about that also. Very important to prevent more chalazia or styes.
