eye pain

I was wondering if anyone could help me.  I have been experiencing right eye pain/pressure for about one year.  It feels as if someone is pushing my out from the back of my head.  I have had intermittent blurry vision, trailing of vision, most recently had a change in my color vision and a "borderline" visual fields test.  My history is that I have had trouble with Pseudo tumor cerebri, with mildly elevated pressures in the 270's.  I guess my question is how aggressively should I pursue treatment.  My ophthalmologist is suggesting going to see a neuro optho.

If your sympotims have been present for a year and not getting worse and the EYe MD says no papilledema then waiting likely is not a problem.

My ophthalmologist seems like he is dropping the ball.  He has decided to let my neurologist complete a referral however he does not do routine eye exams on me, his opinion is if there is no papillary edema then everything is fine.  I just feel that there is more to it unfortunately I am dealing with the Mayo system which is great but difficult to maneuver through.  I do not see my neurologist until April 2009, do you think I can wait until then or should I push harder.
Thanks for your ear.

I would suggest you see a neuroophthalmologist ASAP as your symptoms are disturbing.
