I have some kind of distortion to the bottom of my center of vision I did a dilated eye test and oct angiography and all was normal my doctor told me it’s my vitreous that shrinked like a necklace in front of the iris ...could be the case ?

I'm 4 months post vitrectomy in my right eye.  After about a month I noticed a distortion in that eye at the center of my FOV as when reading a line of text, there is a slight dip down that looks like a sloppy print job.  Just had the full monty of tests this week in prep for a cataract insertion soon.  I asked about this and my surgeon showed me that the back lining (?) of the repaired eye was thicker than the unrepaired eye causing distortion.  This may be from swelling and reduce some, or it just may be the way that things are to be for me.  It's slightly annoying but certainly livable.  I hope you get helpful answers and treatment - best of luck!

So is it normal after PVD to have such problem and it won’t get worse or something ?
Stationary distortion (always in one spot) is not characteristic of PVD
As @dgsmitty posted I had some residual distortion following a vitrectomy that slowly resolved itself. I was diagnosed with cystoid macular edema following the procedure to remove an epiretinal membrane (ERM) and macular traction caused by shrinking vitreous. The edema continues to improve on its own according to the OCT scans I have twice a year at my retinal specialist’s office, and I notice no distortion at all any longer in that eye when looking at an Amsler grid.
As Mr Presley says most patients experience some amount of distortion after macular surgery and macula off retinal detachment surgery.
Many thanks for your input - it's still present, but being patient!
