Does taking nasal steroids dangerous if I have retinal tears?

Hello Doctor,
If I had barrage laser done some time ago and I sometimes see flashes of light and still have some floaters but I have to take nasal steroids because of horrible allergy is it possible that use of those steroids will cause retinal detachment or make my tears worst?

No but if on for a long time will increase risk of cataracts.

You are welcome and thanks for saying thanks.  Not usually something people take the time to say any more.
I occasionally used the generic version of Flonase that I had an Rx for, but have pretty much phased that out after learning here on this site about the possible association with cataracts.
Many papers document increase in cataracts, especially fast growing posterior subcapsular cataracts, with oral or inhaled steroids.

Is a posterior subcapsular cataract the type that YAG treatment is used for?
No a PSC is a regular type of cataract, often co-exists with more common nuclear and cortical cataracts. It's often due to steroid use, diabetes and grows fast and occurs younger people.
Yag laser capsulotomy is done for Posterior capsular opacification which is also called a 'secondary cataract"
