I took my 5 year old daughter to her eye check up after 6 months the Opthometrist told me her Rx went up, She is nearsighted, He didn't dilated her eyes and these are the results:
SPH. CYL. Axis. PD
OD. -2.75. -0.50. 083. 54
OS. -3.00. -0.50. 100.
Since it was so high I decided to get a second opinion, I went to see and Opthamologist, who dilated my daughter's eyes since is the only way to get the true power at this age.
The results are completely different, much lower Rx compare to the Opthometrist, here is the Opthamologist results:
SPH. CYLINDER. Axis
OD. -2.50. + 0.50. 180
OS. -3.00. + 0.75. 180
When I told the Opthometrist about me choosing the other RX He went on telling me It was a mistake that my daughter needs stronger RX, I am very confused, I thought going for the one with lower Rx since the doctor dilated her eyes. Please I need help, which one is better for my 5 year old?
Thanks
