EYE

Hi...My age is 31...For Conjuctivitis I was prescribed FML and CMC e/d by a doctor which i used for around 9 months...Feeling no improvement I changed the doctor and visit another one...That day my eye pressure was 30,30 in both eyes...all other things were normal..Timolol was prescribed to me and 2 days after that pressure come down to 16,14....Visual Test is normal...OCT is normal...with some thinning in right eye...But eye pressure is increasing slowly...from 16,14 to 18,15 to 19,22 in 1.5 months...But still doctor wamts me to w8 for 3 more months to know that if i qualify for anti glaucomic medicines or not..Want to take a second advice on this...and also want to know...That if i can use Timolol for 2 days in a week so that my eye pressure will remain within the range as eye pressure is costly to check at home regularly

Not sure what CMC is. Did you mean chloromycetin? an antibiotic?  Some this wrong as you never should have been on FML (a steroid) and an antibiotic that long. Chance are you are a glaucoma responder and have steroid glaucoma. With stopping the FML most, but not all, patients the IOL will return to normal over 3-6 months.   Timolol is an anti-glaucoma medicine so you are already on one. If you have stopped FML 6 weeks ago the half life of the medicine is such that most should be out of the eye now.  I would see no probably stopping the timolol now or reducing it to once/day for 2 weeks/ once every other day for 8 weeks than stopping. NOTE YOU ARE STEROID RESPONDER   tell all your eye doctors that in the future.
