Eliminating Diplopia

OK, I've asked this question in the past, now I'm at a crossroads where nothing could really be done I'm asking again...
Back on 5-06 I underwent a "simple" eye muscle surgery, that surgery has left me seeing double 24/7( cross-eyed ).
My right eye was overcompensated by a small degree, yet what I see is total chaos,
I've been to many ophthalmologist and the only  treatment they've tried is prisms, both Fresnel stick on and grounded. Prisms don't work for me and I've been patching the weak (Amblophic ) eye for several years . My next step is to seek a medically trained person that understands  and is sympathetic to my situation, understands that I don't want to live the next 20-30 years with this condition and is willing to help me ELIMINATE the vision of my right eye. Some of us understand when enough is enough, how can I undergo this procedure ensuring my double vision ( diplopia ) will FINALLY cease to exist.... I am of sound mind and understand and ACCEPT the risk to this procedure.
Thank you for any help,or advise.
David

You can get this type of contact lens from a strabismus specialist (or other knowledgeable eye care provider.)

As Dr. Oyakawa states (above), your problem may be fully correctable.  My personal experience suggests that specialists vary greatly in terms of their abilities and skills.  Back in 2006 a (botched?) retinal procedure left me with a significant image size difference between my eyes--causing intermittent double vision and an eye that constantly teared.  I consulted several of the best retinal surgeons in my area (Chicago) in search of a surgical solution, and I called every binocular vision/strabismus specialist in town looking for an optical correction.  Everyone told me that there was nothing that could/should be done for my condition.  (Or rather, THEY didn't know how to do anything that might help me.)   I found a Dutch physicist online who prescribed a contact lens/glasses correction which immediately eliminated my symptoms.  And I subsequently found an out-of-town retinal surgeon who identified and corrected the source of my retinal problem.

Depending on your insurance coverage, it might be worth checking out the data base of CastleConnolly (try googling).  For a nominal fee, you can get a list of about 30 of the "best" strabismus specialists.  The names of the ones listed as "best in America" are marked with an asterisk.  There are probably a couple of these super stars not that far from you.  It might be worth sending your medical records before setting up an appointment--call and find out.

I would recommend seeing an adult strabismus specialist.   They should be able to fix this.
