I am 16, female, with a few undiagnosed health issues.
I went to the doctor about a year ago for floaters that showed up out of no where. I woke up one morning, and there was a dark black spot in my vision. When I went in, I had all the standard tests ran and they said I had asymptomatic iritis. I was given drops that made the floaters "clear" with an outline instead of solid black, but now they're comming back darker and thicker.
Since I was in 5th grade, I've had episodes of blacking out. I have an electrolyte imbalance problem, headaches, and I have low blood pressure. We thought we had these episodes under control, so I stopped seeing the cardiologist and went to just my PCP. Recently, since the floaters got worse, so did my headaches and the blacking out. I've noticed that I've got chunks of my recent memory missing. (For example, I keep waking up with bruises and not knowing where they came from, just like when I was fainting in 5th grade).
The headaches are mostly sharp, stabbing pains in my ociptial lobe area. Those headaches are the new ones. Everyone in my family gets temporal headaches (allergies) but that's not what these feel like.
Most recently, I've noticed some lower back pain. It's intense enough that putting on my clothing---that rubbing---hurts. I also have liver pain that is currently undiagnosed. I am bringing this up because when I went in to the doctor the first time I saw the floaters, I was asked about abdominal and lower back pain.
Now, I see an optomologist. I explained these symptoms, and he didn't even look in to them. I don't want to push him and seem like I'm looking for attention or whatever, but it does worry me, and it's very distracting because the floaters are always there, and get worse with a headache. Are these things correlated at all? Or am I just going crazy?
