Eye Blurry...

So, yesterday I woke up and had something in my eye. Out of desperation (it was unpleasant, to say the least) I managed to coax the sonuvagun out by rubbing. ...UNFORTUNATELY, this rubbed my eye dry and it was too blurry to really see anything (for example, this message would be illegible unless I was covering it.)

However, I followed some instructions (artificial tears, washing it out, cold compress, etc, etc.) and it gradually got better. Although it's significantly better today, it's not completely 'fixed'.

Any help that doesn't involve an optometrist? (I just used another cold compress a few minutes ago and it seems to have helped.)

Unfortunately, you need to see an ophthalmologist.  You probably did not get it out or have an abrasion.  Both are risk factors for an infection which could lead to permanently poor vision.

Also, if it helps:

I get allergies terribly this time of year, and I read those could be affecting it. (This is my second or so day without my pill)

And I've been trying eyedrops throughout the day, which seem to help, even if it's only temporary.

Oh, and it just seems to be this screen that's still giving me problems. I can read print from any distance, as well as the TV... Hm.
